And I found my own path and on it my song became wild and overgrown as I walked deeper into the unknown." Words from her myspace, very eloquent and poetic. I really enjoyed Janel's music video and the meaning/purpose behind it. I've written a few research paper's on Native American tragedies and realized how ignorant most Americans are to the hardships our indigenous people experienced. I enjoyed the appropriated footage in her video and particularly the progression of how the bison/buffalo were treated (becoming more and more severe/violent) I'm not sure whether it was intentional or not, but I enjoyed the progression. I also REALLY liked the animation aspect following the chalk drawing shots. I enjoyed her overall flow of the video, combined with the strong cinematography.
